Skylin's First Haircut

This is a before and after picture showing Skylin's new haircut.

Skylin has never had a hair cut. Several weeks ago she got her hair stuck in a bad knot. We were able to get almost all of it out. However, the last little bit needed to be cut out. Skylin was very nervous. I told her not to worry about it and cut a very small portion of her hair. She was so relieved and said "So when you cut you hurt, it does not hurt!" I assured her that no honey it does not hurt to cut your hair. She was happy.

A week later she decided to give herself a haircut. Above is the outcome. We have no idea what to do with that mess. But she thinks she looks beautiful because she got her haircut.

A Dallas Snow!

This is the view in my backyard yesterday. I thought this was crazy.

Then I woke up this morning was amazed by my new view.

Crazy. I thought we lived in Texas. Getting around a foot of snow in mid-February is not what you would expect in Rockwall, Texas.

Our neighbor Joseph's snowmen. He has an odd imagination.

Heads or Tails

Just before we went to bed tonight Triniti and I were flipping a quarter and calling heads or tails. We were doing this for about 5 minutes before Skylin came up and asked what we were doing. I explained that we were flipping the quarter up and guessing which side it was going to land on - either heads or tails. I told her that one of the rules of the game is that you have to say heads or tails while the coin is in the air. She was very excited and wanted to try. So I got ready to flip and asked, "Are you ready?" She said "Yes!" I flipped the quarter and while it was still in the air Skylin, in a very confident voice, yells -- "Heads or Tails."

The Yankees have not won a World Series since 2000 - Josh was age negative 8. He has been waiting his entire life for the Yankees to win a world championship.
