Lenovo iPad?

We have a number of iPads in our house. In fact, Josh, our 3 year old, uses an iPad all the time. Tonight I was using my Lenovo ThinkPad in the living room. I almost never use a laptop at home. Josh came up to me and asked - "Where did you get that iPad." It was a funny moment as I tried to explain this was a laptop (not an iPad) and I got it from K&L Gates. He was very confused why the touch screen did not work.

Dr. Pepper 20?

Have you seen those Dr. Pepper Ten commercials? They are a little controversial because they say that Dr. Pepper Ten is a diet cola that is not for women. They also make it clear that it is a cola with "10 bold tasting calories."

This is the bottle.

Notice that a serving size is one bottle.

However, it is really odd that a single bottle has 20 calories.

Shawn Named as a Texas Super Lawyer

I found out this week that I was named as a Rising Star Texas Super Lawyer for the 3rd time. This year I was one of 4 lawyers in Texas named in the technology / outsourcing area. One of the others, Ryan Preston, is a K&L Gates lawyer in the office right next to me! Ryan is a great guy and a terrific lawyer. We have half the market. :-)

The NCAA Basketball Tournament begins today.  While I like to think I know a little about college basketball, I never seem to do very well picking teams in the tournament.  Therefore, for what it is worth, below are my picks.  My goal this year is to do better than President Obama.

MadFrog 12s Qualify for Nationals at Colorado Crossroads

Last weekend Noelle's volleyball team won the Colorado Crossroads tournament in Denver, Colorado. With that win MadFrog qualified for the USA Volleyball Girls’ Junior National Championships to be held in Columbus, Ohio, June 28 to July 7.

The USA Volleyball Girls’ Junior National Championships attracts nearly 9,500 athletes and over 20,000 spectators annually. The tournament crowns 19 champions in age divisions ranging from 12 to 18. The event draws hundreds of college recruiters.
Noelle's team is undefeated on the year.

The gold ball is given to the winning team.
