Magnolia in the Spring

Misty and I has a great time in Waco, Texas last weekend. We watched the Baylor boys basketball game at the Twisted Root on Friday morning and then went to the Magnolia Silos.

Walking back to our hotel we spotted Chip Gains (of Fixer Upper fame). He was a great guy.

Royalty Dance Academy - Hansel & Gretel

On March 4th and March 5th,  Royalty Dance Academy put on a ballet production of Hansel & Gretel. It was a terrific show.   Skylin played Gretel and her good friend, Tatum Wolf, played Hansel. 

Mrs. Gabe, Skylin's ballet teacher, wrote, choreographed and directed the production.  I am amazed at her dedication to her craft and these children.  Her, Mr. Shawn and all the other teachers at Royalty Dance Academy have been such a blessing to Skylin and the other dancers at the studio.    

The props, lighting and entire sets were near-professional quality.  Although, there were many good performances, I thought the witches, baker and the baker's wife, the Big Bad Wolf, the puppet master and the gypsy were something special.
